The emotional, physical and psychological cost for children experiencing tragedy, hardship and neglect is immense and can last a life-time.
The need for our work is acute and growing. Home-Start UK’s latest Impact Report showed:
- 59% of parents need support with the mental health and wellbeing of families
- 42% of parents ask for help to build supportive, nurturing, loving relationships with their children
- 59% of families were facing isolation and loneliness
You can help us change a child’s life
We believe that the best possible start in life for a child begins at home with their family.
A nurturing, loving, stable family and home environment strongly determines a child’s future life chances. Children whose parents/carers are struggling to cope can miss out on vital love, routine and support.
When children face illness or disability, when their parents are isolated or dealing with postnatal depression or other mental health issues, our volunteers want to be there for them. To help them and their whole family until they can cope again.
We want to reach each child in their vital early years. Very often we are the last chance they have.
We depend heavily on donations from people like you to fund our work with parents/carers and children. Everyone needs help at some time in their life, please help us to make a difference to a child’s life today.
We need to fundraise £30,000in 2025/26
